The farmhouse overlooks apple orchards and fields to Knubble Bay on the Maine coast. The charachter of the house has been preserved, while updating for comfort. Tide's End Farm has been in business since 2001 when Liia Becker moved back to Georgetown. Liia's Grandparents had bought the house in the early 1960's as a summer home and it has been in the family ever since.

The house is one of the oldest in the area dating back to the 1770's. The stone walls of the farm are obvious around the property and there are photos that show the whole area as cleared with no trees in the early 1900's. When Liia moved with 10 horses to the property, she had to clear a lot of land that had become forest and bring the property back to the use it had been for so many years, a farm. Over the years guests started coming to the farm for riding lessons with Liia and it just natuarally evolved to be a place that drew people for the location and beauty, not just for the horses.

The property could easily be called a wildlife haven, with deer, fox, wild turkeys, squirrels and a wide array of sea birds and song birds. There is a permanent herd of deer that runs around 6-10 in nunmber and have gotten most of the guests scrambling for their cameras. The osprey and eagles fly overhead, the marsh has many types of herons and the songbirds greet you with their many calls.
